Huge Sod Installation Project In Kenner
Check out this giant sod installation project in Kenner we just completed. Getting your new sod to thrive in sandy soil can be hard. We installed about 50 yards of straight compost on this yard and mixed in with a tiller. We let this sit for more than a week and installed the sod on top of it. We installed the Tiffway 419. This is the best for long term maintenance on such a large spread of an area. This is take well to generic fertilizers and herbicides as well as fungicides and insecticides. This grass holds up very well to heat and full sun.
This was taken before we had the last 25 yards of compost to install in the front yard. The sandy soil is almost white and the compost mixes with it extremely well. Making for a very nice soil for short term and long term growth of the sod.
